hey everyone! i know it’s only been a day, but i hope everyone had a great and safe black friday.

after spending practically $200 at each store [combined with my mom] i’ve decided to start to sell some old things. this includes both my and my mom’s items; including my random buys and my mom’s intense designer buys. in case nobody has seen the link yet, at the top of my wordpress there’s a page for my current sales where you can find plenty of cute and desirable goods for really cheap. and i mean, really dirt chinatown cheap.

we’re selling CHANEL pumps (real!), coach clogs, ferragamo strappy heels, dr martens, and more; all for between $20-$50! so whether you’re a complete stranger who came across my blog, or a friend from school, please check out my store and support me by buying some nice things! they make great gifts, too, and are in a decent price range. i have tags and boxes for proof, so feel free to ask for pictures!

click here to go check it out, and/or if you’re too lazy to scroll up to the top of the page!

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DAY FOR…idk like a week :)

i was kinda upset because i didnt know where i was gonna go for black friday, or if i was even going to go! but i begged and pleaded until my mom decided she would take me :D

it was pretty interesting. basically, we drove all the way past the SFO airport, just to find that we missed the BART station. so, we drove back 2 miles to use it and missed parking blah dee blah. 10 mins later we walk into the BART station and find out that two round tickets to powell street (union square, san francisco) and back was 8.50, and it was my mom and i so practically $20! it was pretty annoying and we didn’t want to lug our bags everywhere too, so we ended up just driving and paying for parking. luckily, the macy’s parking had a $15 early bird special for those leaving before 7 PM, so that was good; and less than BART.

i mostly wanted to go to angelic pretty because i knew there’d be lucky packs, but as we [my mom and i] made our way over, we ran into so many cool sceneries! we saw the luxury alleyway with the chanel and betsey johnson, as well as guccy, giogio armani, giant levi’s, and way more that i can’t even remember. we walked into burberry and rock & republic; both having good sales, but it seemed like they were just trying to empty their inventory or something. R&R was having 80% off the entire store! :P

next we hit ZARA! zara was really fun. i immediately found tons of things i wanted in the mere 5 mins i had entered. i was surprised to see that there were 2 3 FOUR floors! i went upstairs and found the juiniors/children’s department thing. and tried on some clothes, and decided on four that i wanted…i wanted more, but i can’t have everything! D:

zara

skirt – $39.99

tops – $15.99 (each)

sweater – $29.99

ujealous?brofosho.

we continued down the street, not really paying attention to what was around us, and finally hit 15 kearny street; sound familiar? YES! angelic pretty of course! the window display was the same, the inventory was the same; only the fact that it wasn’t jam packed was different. i ran into the store all happy and skipping, but my mom stayed outside and admired the window display. it was completely different than BABY, that’s for sure. she came in the store and told me she liked the shoes, and that i should try them on. lucky they were my size too! a bit big, but better big than small right? O: so i try on the red shoes, and as cute and cupcakey as they are, they just seem too bold. and the white would get dirty. and the brown and black ones? too…awkward? so i try on light pink .AAAAAAAAAAAH it was cute! the shoes have platforms so you feel in control but at the same time really light, since they’re made of wood. i immediately knew i wanted it. the adorable cashiers did a great job wrapping up everything really carefully, and gave me the choice of a patterned tote bag or one that said san francisco on it. i wanted the patterned one originally, but i knew that once they stopped giving out novelty items, people would want the san francisco one more. so i took that one :D and they started stamping me a new card but when they were halfway finished i realized that i already  had one! XD by the time we’d gotten there, the LPs were long sold out…sadness. but the cashier told me ‘they sold out in like, 5 seconds! XD’ so that’s all good. i’m not crazy for them anyway.

i’m not gonna reveal the prices of my lolita shoes, since they were my personal splurge. kthx! >_>

next…we were starving; it was about 3PM and we had drove down at 12 (arrived at 1?) so we turned the corner at the end of kearny street and ate at a great hong kong chinese restaurant. honestly, i’m half taiwanese, but the best chinese food is hands down hong kong style. i just had west lake soup (my favorite!) and some fried rice. is it just me, or does anyone else hate the awkward feeling of trying to finish your drink in a restaurant when your parents tell you to and you absolutely can’t? that always happens to me. maybe they poison it or something. @__@

afterwards, we walked past a few cute stores; a children’s store called MURIK, and paul smith. we continued down the street, empty as it was. we made our way to virgin megastore, diesel, the 3 store juicy couture, and we didn’t go inside but we saw the disney store. we also saw the BARNEY’s store which used to be the old FAO, and my mom told me how she used to take me there as a youngin’ and i’d go batshit for toys :) i wish i remembered–i wish it was still there. i’ve gone to the one in NYC  but still! :(

learn more about it here.

anyways, after walking for like 10 minutes fully bloated from chinese food, we entered anthropologie where it was scorching inside. the sales were insane but great, and i found a wonderful blazer and cargo pants; however the cargo pants were really expensive and i wasn’t really loving them so i didn’t get them XD and my mom wanted to buy so many cute dresses but they were all defected! nooo. D; but that was fun. we spent like 2 hours in anthro, alone! the decor is so cute too; all the christmas trees and dollhouses were made out of scraps of sweaters. i think it’s so creative! :D

after that, we quickly went to urban outfitters where it was burning as well. the store is huge. you enter the main/middle floor with apartment goods, or and either go down to the men’s and down ANOTHER floor to men’s. OR go up from the main floor and see shoes, or go up another flight of stairs to women’s. insanity. my mom was deadbeat so she sat on the shoes level, and allowed me to go shop. i quickly made my roundabouts because i felt guilty for making my mom tired, but i found her a jacket that she’d wanted since 2 years ago from modcloth that used to not be in style…but i guess navajo is hitting it big this year and more stores started carrying it. i saw a record vinyl from the XX that i really wanted but i dont have a record player NOR do i have space in my room to hang it so i just let it go. i didn’t see a cheeseburger phone either, which i really wanted, but i DID find a keith haring shirt that was out of stock online, as well as a polar bear sweater that i’ve wanted. so i was very content.

urban outfitters

keith haring shirt – $32

polar bear sweater – $49

bb dakota navajo – $118

something you don't know about me? i took this in the dark.

finally, we made our way home (sadface!) but we stopped at nordstrom rack on our way. i didn’t buy much; just leggings, but i wanted to  buy a free people hoodie thing. but my mom
was upset that i bought a ‘silly’ polar bear sweater for fifty bucks and didn’t wanna spend another fifty, which i understood. soooo that went right along. all denim was 30% off, but it was either size 23 (insanely skinny…) or fat people sized, so i just wandered in circles looking for my mom. until…like an hour later XD

it doesn’t sound like a lot, but to me it was, and i got to spend a lot of time with my mom which is always good. i’m already really close with my mom, but still it was fun. and while we were driving home, she started playing a chinese song i used to listen to a lot when i was little…and even though it’s called red bean (which is a popular dessert in asia), it still makes me really happy/sad inside when i hear it. video is below. happy thanksgiving to my…few readers out there!

look at these super sweet marc jacobs shirts. i think they’re only sold in stores? and i think it’s from the 2009 collection. i’ll have to hit up the fillmore store then, in that case! maybe tomorrow for BLACK FRIDAY? :D <3

does anyone else feel like 2010 is going by really fast? i just realized when i said 2009 collection, because i felt like that was only a few months ago…more like, a year ago! :(

“As part of their Summer Program, children from the Provincetown Community Center designed t-shirts that will be sold as Special Items from Marc by Marc Jacobs. All founds collected will help support the charity program which provides summer recreation for children.” (via hypemeanseverything)

aah! i love the heart one! :)

EDUN also has a line of shirts with the same hand-drawn style of shirts. love it! julia pott, one of my favorite illustrators, drew some characters wearing the clothes too!

expensive for a good cause.

speaking of expensive, i’m in an awful mood. i finally bought a shirt i’ve wanted from marc jacobs for EVER that i tried on at macys and went back a week later they didn’t have and waited for it to go on sale just to buy. so i finally convinced my mom to buy it yesterday. well stupid me; guess what? it’s 50% off the sale price now. i hate my life.

$35?? i bought it for $70. </3

happy black friday shopping tomorrow!

I ATTENDED THE ANGELIC PRETTY SAN FRANCISCO OPENING!! ^_^

the hotel wasn't that old, but had a cute old theme!

it was insane!

i dont know where to begin! so i’ll start from that morning. i stayed at the sir francis drake hotel next to saks fifth avenue. my friend hollyn woke up at 5:45 to get ready…me? at 7:15 LOL im so lazy D:

hollyn helped curl my hair for the first time! (i don’t usually because i already have curly hair…) and also put in dolly wink #6 bottom lashes! i lost one in the carpet but it’s okay XD i teased her hair, too.

only a FEW of the lolitas in line!

we went down to eat breakfast at 8:45; i got a lot of crazy stares, but a nice old lady politely asked what the cause was and we politely told her it was for a new japanese fashion store opening. she said she’d seen some others, so my friend and i felt slightly better! come to think of it…i felt like everyone was only asking me questions! (like when we were in line). maybe because i’m only 14, and less intimidating? but they would come directly to me O:

two girls from LA

at 9:30 we had arrived in line after a brief 3-4 block walk to 15 Kearny Street that literally took 6 minutes. the outside of the shop looked awful; no sign, no decorations. the lovely girls behind me in line said that it was the type of store that ‘only you know about and you tell your friends and they don’t really like it.’ there were already probably 30 people in front of us; NOT including the few who came extra early for the tickets to come back! (which was maybe 10 or 20 people?) the girls behind us were getting bored with me and hollyn, and said they were from LA. we talked about how they should open stores in LA and NY too. the girl in miracle cake (light blue) was teaching hollyn and i how to shop in rodeo and get good service; ‘pretend you’re looking for a party dress and that $3000 isn’t a lot. look at the seams and snootily tell them it’s cheaply made, and they’ll offer you champagne and velor chairs to sit in; works like a charm!’ i wasn’t sure of their names, but i know naomi (the one in pink) has a blog here!

while waiting in line, some douchebag from above decided he wanted to start drama by throwing food. at first, i thought it was just trash on the ground, but later i overheard a lolita say ‘did someone just throw an orange at me?’ immediately, i told her that i thought people had been pelting food from above. it got a lot worse; he/she was pelleting GRAPES! :( i didn’t get hit, but it got on my shoes. we all moved under the overhang and took out our umbrellas.

athena and i!

i couldn’t deal with the bull, so the lolitas behind me in line came to a consensus and...I CALLED THE POLICE! that’s right! first time ever having to do that! the man eventually threw rubber gloves filled with water, but completely missed because his IQ is 5. the police came by but were looking in the wrong building at first…the pelter stopped for about an hour because he could see the police car, but later threw a few more things. it was pretty funny; me and some other lolitas got REALLY into the fight! we were verbally assaulting him ^_^

anyway, the store was supposed to open at 11 AM but they needed and extra ’15-20 mins’ which turned out to be 40. the store only allowed 20 people at a time, and for every 1 person who left, 2 would go in. so this pretty much took forever. luckily, my friend athena, who at first couldn’t make it, arrived! i was really happy. we took tons of pics of everyone around us! :)

by 12:30, we were in the very front of the line, and saw some interesting things. one asian lady asked us to be models for her japanese blog? i’m not sure exactly; shes supposed to email me about it later O: and we saw a kind old man with a really vintage camera! we also waved to the tons of chinese people riding the bus LOL. some waved back…!

リボンネームワッペンベレー (ribon name badge beret)

we finally got in by 1:00. and boy, was it a let down…the decorations were lame; the only sign was taped to the window, the clothes weren’t that cute (or at least, the ones left after 2 hours weren’t D: ) hollyn’s dad, who drove me home, explained that AP must have wanted to open by black firday/christmas to make a lot of money and thats why the store looked sorta crappy. he also explained that the only reason there weren’t any good prints was because they probably wanted to show unpopular clothes because they KNEW that most people in line would make an impulse buy. if that makes sense? i hope they do import cuter clothes though, like jewelry jelly! @__@ i can agree that most made an impulse buy; i bought a really cute brown beret!

austine! :D

hollyn spent over $200 and got the 3rd to last invite; or so i thought. turns out it wasn’t buy the number of people who spent over $200; it was just anybody who did. but hollyn got a fancy one, wheras my friend austine got a ghetto hand written one LOL!

i hope she has fun, and maybe she will have pics :) overall the store was pretty small and not that jam packed; definitely not comparable to the new people mall opening (BABY opening). but still really fun and the 4  hour wait was not that miserable!

i’m glad it didn’t rain!

now please enjoy some A CRAPLOAD! of photos i took here!

(sorry it wont let me embed photos in a slideshow </3)

i went to daiso yestrday~! it looks like i bought a lot, but i didn’t…

for people who don’t know, everything at daiso is $1 unless stated. then maybe it’s like $3 at most XD the only downside? no returns or exchanges. but whatever!

my hand looks weird here, i know. i took the pic upside down or something so i had to rotate it @__@

i bought another moko moko!! my pink one was dyingggg, as you can see. it was only $1, i was so happy! my pink one was like $6 because i bought it from some japan import store. they also had white x pink, white x purple, and a fatter version of the one i had, but i love rainbows so there! :3

blue red and yellow tiny beads :) and i bought elastic string, but didn’t take a picture. whatever. ^_^”

CUTE TISSUES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH LOL!! :) perfect for me since i’m always sick, and on the go.

REALLY CUTE FLATS SOCKS…that were TOO SMALL?? LOL! i’m only size 6/7 and it’s a few cm  too small. idk what i’m going to do with these. at least they’re cute. i bought them because there’s padding on the bottom with more support :3 but how wasteful, now…

** yes i know i have a bad socktan and i tried to edit it to make it less obvious. but OBVIOUSly that didn’t work XD

that’s it from daiso! i also bought a red chocomint bangle from someone on egl_comm_sales!

i’m SO UPSET! IT’S TOO BIG FOR MY DAMN WRIST! i’m just going to have to find a way to secure it to be tighter…gahhh
