electric alice review -- 6%dokidoki BLUE star clip!

hey everyone! i’m back with a review from electric alice, which is a kawaii store located in sydney, australia that sells imported japanese cuteness! they have all types of things; jewelry, misc. accessories, dresses/clothing, and even some sweet bags!

they are mostly known for carrying the 6%DOKIDOKI famous ‘milky way star clip/brooch‘. it is one of the most popular and loved accessory to many lolitas (usually sweet :D).

i already owned the clip in dark pink, so when i saw on their blog that they were re-releasing all colors AND a new electric blue color, i was set! i was going to buy that clip. :) i had the dark pink clip from the j-pop summit event in san francisco from august/september 2010, because i happened to be in japan town in the right place at the right time. you can read more about it here.

communication

the communication with the electric alice staff was great. i messaged them to put one of the blue stars on  hold for me, as they are located in australia and the time zone is different and i didn’t want to randomly place an order in the middle of the night. they kindly gave me 24 hours (as the clips were very popular) and i followed through with my order. the staff was super nice, especially imogen, who is the director of electric alice! :)

shipping

initially, the shipping was supposed to be $21 with tracking, but i messaged imogen about if there was any other way to get cheaper shipping. she told me it could be sent out via air-mail for $9.99, which sounded a lot better! and i was told it would arrive in 3-10 days, but it took a full 10 days. to me, it took forever, but if you think about it it’s not actually that bad ;D

packaging

the adorable clip was sent in a white bubbled ‘folder’ about the size of a piece of paper, and it seemed to secure it very well. on the inside was a light pink 6%DOKIDOKI bag, so cute! and inside was personal note from electric alice thanking me for the transaction and to post coordinate pics (which i will!) along with that, the blue clip was wrapped about four timesin bright pink tissue paper (and taped)–SO CUTE!

items

i’m REALLY happy with the clip. it looks just as pictured on the site–if not, cuter! whenever i wore my pink clip i would get lots of compliments; in and out of lolita. i can’t wait to wear my blue one! i always thought blue looked better in dark hair than pink, so i’m really really happy about wearing it :D

i was really  happy with the entire transaction and i would love to order from them again.

i can’t wait to see what else they get in stock!
