not-so-recent gets!

so i haven’t posted any of my recent purchases in a really long time, besides my past few posts, so here’s a mini haul XD

basically i had a bunch of money saved up for something i wanted to buy, but my auctions weren’t going well so i had to cancel it. then my auctions started going REALLY well, and i was saving up for something else i really wanted to buy, but unfortunately the seller backed out. i’m glad she did, because then that whole thing with the bally shoes came up and i lost $55 :(

but anyway! these are things i’ve bought. i happen to be in love with all of it.

so yesterday i stopped by a wonderful boutique that i visit often called therapy! i know, it’s a weird name, but it’s a lovely store. think of it as if modcloth was a real store–they even carry the same brands! i love going to therapy because the shopgirls are always so nice to me, and they know me so whenever i stop by they always personally greet me and ask if my mom’s around, and help me pick out stuff!

they also sometimes give me free stuff–really!! one time i bought a top, and then they let my mom and i pick two rings for free–worth $12 each! it was really nice of them. and yesterday, my little brother was throwing a fit when i was shopping because he was hungry, and i showed him this funny cow keychain that moos. when we went to go eat next door, he said he kind of wanted the keychain, so we went over and the girl i was talking to just let him have it! it wasn’t expensive or anything (it was $3.50) but it’s a kind gesture and makes me want to shop there more, you know? :]

so anyway, if you’re ever in the bay area of california, check out one of their locations–you won’t be disappointed! :)

ANYWAY! so last time i went to therapy, i wanted to buy an elephant top, but my mom didn’t like it, and now it’s sold out. so i settled on this one, and i love it! it’s from a brand called ‘collective concepts’.

i loooooove this picture! i don’t know what i did, but i love how it was taken, and the colors contrasting :)

i think it would look cute with a brown or even pink tank top under–i don’t have pink, so here’s brown for demonstration!

i bought this free people star burnout top for $5 on eBay a few weeks ago. short story–i had bid on a diff auction for the same shirt but was outbid literally at the last minute to $20, and i was kind of sad cuz i really liked this top. so i just searched it and saw it listed for .99 + $4 shipping and jumped on it! i love it–you really can never go wrong with thermals! :)

this next top i bought just a few days ago on eBay for $7 + free shipping! it’s from truly madly deeply (a brand carried largely at urban outfitters). i don’t know what i liked about it, but it’s simple and cute, plus i don’t have very many v-necks! (and miranda cosgrove wears it on icarly, hee hee!)
i haven’t worn it yet, because i want to wear a pink tank top under, and like i said earlier, i don’t own a pink tank top! so i have to be on the lookout for one! :P

this is one of my new favorite favorites. it’s the first thing i ever bought from topshop! it’s a floral high waisted skirt that has a cute 50′s feel to it–i like how it’s supposed to be worn at the hips, and not the waist! it’s more flattering for me :)
the material is kind of rough but i don’t mind. and it has POCKETS!! except in order to get the bow to tie the way i like, i have to wear the skirt backward, so the pockets end up not being that useful since they’re backwards too! lol.

these next two shirts are from the brand chaser LA, their shirts are so soft and cute! i don’t have many band t-shirts, so i’m glad i came across both of these. and for the record, yes of COURSE i listen to AC/DC and pink floyd! i honestly don’t like AC/DC as much as i thought i would, but i’m madly in love with pink floyd ‘the wall’ right now. it’s amazing!

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK

and like i said in my post about my black milk galaxy leggings, i got this shirt for $10 during some kind of 2 for $20 sale on lockerz.com, which is a site where you have to like earn points and stuff. i use it for hosting twitter pictures, but yeah!

this next shirt i’m so glad i bought–it’s a cute tiger cropped shirt from the brand whitley kros that i bought on eBay for $20 + free shipping!! the pink shirt below is separate, but i just put it there because it looks cool. normally i wear it without the pink, though.

this next striped sweater/long sleeve is from marc by marc jacobs that my mom bought for me from nordstroms rack. it was originally $210 or so, and i bought it for $65! i really like it, but i haven’t worn it much because i don’t know how to coordinate it because of the little…thinggy in the middle o__O help is appreciated! O:

psssst…it has shoulder pads! HAHHA! :D

this next sweater i’ve been stalking for a million years, it’s from NTICE on karmaloop and it features a keith haring drawing. i was kind of upset that this sweater wasn’t actually a sweatshirt material, it’s more like a stretchy long sleeve material, but it’s super easy to layer and soft!

and finally, here’s an AMAZING somewhat cropped velour cardigan i bought from black peace now during one of their sales. i’m so sad that they’re closing–like SO sad. the only person i know who is sadder than me is my mom; she genuinely liked wearing BPN clothing! and now it’s going to be so hard to buy stuff from them because they’re not very popular…:( we’re going to go mad during the sales though!

my TWO white cats are convinced that black clothing is softer than any other colored clothing…because they love sleeping on my dark colored clothing…

pixie knitwear geometric sweater!

here’s a sweater i ordered a month ago or so that i never got around to posting!

i didn’t really feel like posting them but i had such a shitty day that it seems like there’s nothing better to do…:(

this is a sweater i specially ordered from pixieknitwear.com; they are the SWEETEST company EVER!

i basically found the sweater in only M/L on modcloth.com, and after contacting them wondering if they had any more smalls, they directed me to pixie knitwear directly.

at first, i contemplated ordering the M/L, but i saw a photoshoot of the jumper on the modcloth blog and felt like asking the girl in the photos for a more honest answer, since i knew that modcloth would obviously just tell me to order the jumper from them. i emailed vicki, blogger for themagpiegirl.com, and she told me she had a S/M and it was already pretty large. therefore, M/L was out of the question.

so i emailed the company pixie knitwear and asked them if they had anymore, since their site said they were sold out. lo-and-behold, vicky responded back to me (not the same vicky! this one works at pixie knitwear XD), and told me she had one more for me!! they immediately put it on the site, but i couldn’t afford it and the next day they took it down. i thought someone had bought it and was terrified, but turns out they took it down so no one else would snatch it up! :) so they put it back up for me and i was able to purchase it.

i LOVE how they call it a jumper!

anyway, it arrived really quickly in about a week. that’s fast to me, seeing as they’re from the UK! and after shipping it was around $45, and it was like $30 or so. i kinda forget, i ordered it a few weeks ago!

why the f*ck does this keep happening to me

i’m in a terrible mood…

basically someone on ebay ‘119.n.poodle‘ bid on a pair of BALLY shoes that i listed for $55. they retail for around $200 and they were vintage of my mom’s, and she told me to sell  them.

stupidly, i shipped them without tracking…and the buyer goes ahead and says she’s never received it after only 3 business days. so i’m like dude it isn’t gonna arrive in 3 days, you have to wait for at least 6 before you whine  your ass at me (i said it more politely, though.) and then she escalates to ebay and of course today they refunded all $55 to her.

i desperately need money right now because i owe my debit card money, and now i’m really mad because i’m afraid she’s gonna get her money back AND get my shoes. and that would just about kill me.

i HATE stupid  bitches. why the  fuck does this kind of stuff always happen to me?!?!

i’m never shipping without fucking tracking again

i hate people.

edit: she messaged me telling me that if she does get the shoes, she’s willing to pay me for them, so i kind of feel about about this post…i mean i don’t know if she means that or not, hopefully she does, and i’m just praying that one of us receives it.

update: i found the receipt that proves i shipped it out! we’ll see what happens…

just in case she sees this for some reason, i have nothing against you, i’m just terrified and upset that the transaction had to go so badly :(

current elliott, pink floyd, and urban outfitters’ peter jensen!

okay! so i plan on posting all of the things i’ve bought in the past like month since my absence around the end of the school year in mid june…but it’ll all be eventual.

today i went to urban outfitters with my friend sabrina! we meant to go shopping but instead we watched ‘midnight in paris’, because she wanted to go with this guy and his friend (she likes the guy) and she wanted a girl to go with her…so i thought we were going shopping but i ended up having to pay for an $8 ticket to a movie that wasn’t that great. whatever! :P

here’s the outfit i wore. i bought these current/elliott skinny cargos after stalking ebay for nearly a month and missing out on the ones in my size, twice! i almost resorted to buying a pair that was two sizes too big (and the brand also runs REALLY big) but i was desperate. luckily, right before i did, i somehow managed to spot a pair! these usually run for $248 at neiman marcus (now on sale for $166) but i got mine for $50. yee haw!

the pink floyd shirt i ‘won’ at lockerz.com, and it’s from a wonderful brand sold widely throughout LA called ‘Chaser LA’. lockerz.com is a site where you upload stuff to twitter and watch videos and you get ‘PTZ’ that can be used on prizes.

the shirt was on sale from $60 to $10, so i used like 800 ‘PTZ’ to get it for like $9 shipped or so. not bad! it’s my new favorite shirt, it’s so soft and perfectly cropped! pink floyd ♥  ♬ ♪ ♩ ♫

i was inspired by miranda cosgrove to buy both these items, not just because she has it but because after i saw them on her, i loved them! in fact i bought the shirt before i found out and then i saw a pic of her wearing it (see this and this post on my other  blog, Miranda Style Source)

ANYWAY! back to what i was saying.

after 90 minutes of wishing i lived in paris, the movie was over and we made our way to urban outfitters where i quickly ran up two flights of stairs (the UO’s near me are two story, generally) and the shirt i fell in love with online was in plain sight :3 so i grabbed it and tried it on…

i wasn’t sure about the fit in the dressing room, but we were pressed for time so i just went ahead and bought it!

now ashlyn and i have matching shirts–expect random ‘collab’ pics soon, when hers arrives in the mail!

the shirt is from peter jensen, a european designer who creates beautiful art and recently started up a collection with urban outfitters. i think the art is sooo cute!

i didn’t know how to pair it at first, but i decided with high waist shorts would be cool. thus, this was born.

these are my babies and i love them. even though i am too fat for them. LSKDJFSL :)

edit: i was just posting this to my friend ashlyn, and lol…if ‘jeans’ is plural, then would you say these jeans are my ‘babies’, or these jeans are my baby? O:

 

BEFORE I START: i know, words, WORDS! but PHOTOS at the end! PHOOTOOSSS! ♥ 

so the story about these is i’ve been stalking these jeans since the beginning of my blogging, which has been a little over a year now. mostly because i saw them on miranda cosgrove in her kissin u video, and i’m kind of obsessed with her. O_o

they’re $280 jeans, unique to the creator, and each one is only made in one size.

so back in july 2010, there were only 3 sizes left: 2, 5, and 7. i wanted the size 2, and even though they’re $280, i figured they were awesome enough. but i went to disneyland that summer in august, and when i came back, they were completely off the site! not sold out, just deleted from the website. and i emailed them in march 2011 and only big sizes were available (apparently XL and XXL?, not sure what those sizes are).

anyway. so i was super emo that the entire denim keith haring collection was sold out.

this is when ebay became my best friend. ever.

ebay is good and bad. good because you can find almost anything, and i mean it.

bad because you can’t check sizing, and measurements are always off because the fabric determines how it actually fits and stuff.

so anyway, one day i get an email from ebay saying:

‘search results for ‘keith haring patricia field’–one new auction’.

so i went kind of crazy. and i couldn’t believe it! the jeans i’ve wanted for nearly two years, finally up for auction in just my size. or what i thought was just my size. well, it was just my size. size 1.

now, this would have been just my size if it ran true to size like normal designer jeans. but these jeans run tiny.

anyway, the auction was even more amazing when i read that it had a .99 cent starting bid! FOR $280 JEANS! DUUUDEEE!

so then i went to watchcout.com and checked how many people i should expect to be needing to outbid, since on ebay there’s this thing where basically if the item is $10, you can bid $30 but it will only show it as $10.50. and if someone bids $15, you automatically bid $15.50 without having to be there. and that goes up all the way till someone bids $30.01 or more, and then you are outbid.

ANYWAY, so i just stalked the listing for a week until the last seconds. my heart was thumping and i was sweating, i felt really lame feeling that way over a pair of jeans…and then i clicked ‘place bid’, typed in $102.89 (it’s better if you type in a random number slightly over how much you’re willing to spend) and there were 10 seconds left on the clock.

and i won it.

and i started screaming.

and then i paid for it.

luckily i also had like $5 in ebay ‘bucks’ so it was only like $97. and WTF, the seller gives free shipping! AMAZING!

anyway so i was like shaking and super happy, but also worried it wouldn’t fit.

and after waiting a week for the damn mail to get sent from NY to CA, i was finally able to put it to the test.

so basically, the jeans would have fit if it weren’t for the patches that are stupidly glued on…because it makes it so the jeans can’t stretch. i can still wear them, it’s just i get a really bad muffin top O__O so i have to wear baggy tshirts, YAY!

and while putting them on, i definitely made rips and tears…but nothing i can’t fix. plus, even if i grow out of them, i’m not planning on selling them.

now, to find a time to wear them!

i can’t wear them shopping, because it takes me like 10 mins to get these on! jeeesusss!
