• and the sally hansen purple/violet nail art pen.

sorry for the double post, extremely urgent.

for all of those on  the east coast who are or may be affected by hurricane irene, my heart goes out to you.

i came home from a shitty dance last night, silently complaining about how i didn’t really have that much fun, to a heartbreaking broadcast live from…CNN? about hurricane irene. i was sort of tired, it being 11PM, but i heard that it’s a massive shitstorm in north carolina, and new york is in grave danger. it made me completely realize that some things in life are more important than others, and that i shouldn’t be complaining about a sucky dance while there are people who might be losing their lives as i write this now :x

i have friends on the east coast so my heart goes out to you, please be safe and evacuate as instructed. i hope this ends peacefully and quickly, i know that many people are already dead or injured from the other events such as the storms etc, so please, PLEASE be safe.

i really do wish that there was something i could do to help, but instead i’m sitting at home in california completely helpless while the sun shines through my window like there’s nothing wrong in the universe.

i also know that the people who are being affected probably won’t be reading this, as they’re going to be evacuating and staying with people that they love, but i felt like it was worth mentioning.

something is terribly wrong and i’m very scared :(

anyway please stay safe, and hopefully it’ll be over soon.

i won the solestruck/jeffrey campbell contest!

so if you read my blog, you may have seen my blog post from a few weeks ago entering a contest in which you ‘spill’ the contents of your favorite purse. i was one of 20 winners! i’m really  happy, i won a purse from jeffrey campbell‘s new ‘girls we hated in high school‘ line!

impractical hairstyles – minnie mouse hair buns

so my friend maggie and i were talking about what we wanted to do for halloween. she’s going to be hobbes from cavin and hobbes with my friend anthony, and i wasn’t sure whether to be pikachu [again T_T] or minnie mouse! i have a minnie mouse costume from when i was 10 years old that i can still squeeze into so i figured i would try doing that this year.

i figured i could just wear the minnie mouse dress and plush minnie ears i have [or the vintage sequin ones from this post, hehee!] but i wanted to see what would happen if i tried to do two little buns!

i followed this tutorial from ‘this girl never gets older‘ (her blog is awesome!) to do the buns, but i just split my hair down the middle instead of doing one big bun :3

eeeek it started to fall out so i didn’t get many pictures! X:

elephant guns [photoshoot and catching up a little]

god i’m such a slacker! i totally take tons of photos and stuff for my blog and then get too lazy to post them.

ANYWAY! where to start! BAND CAMP WAS EXTREMELY FUN. i can’t even describe it!

it’s hilarious how when i was packing for it i was so angry about camp and i had such a fun time! i would post more about it but it’s not really a story meant for my blog, and plus i typed it up on microsoft word and it’s 21 pages…O:

so i bought this amazing and sexy marc by marc jacobs blouse. it was the last one in the company that wasn’t broken, since the collar has little gems that fall off easily [unfortunately one of mine has already fallen off so im terrified of wearing it].

i had a photo shoot as my ‘back to school outfit’ so enjoy those photos! :) [i ended up not even wearing that blouse [or shoes] in my yearbook picture taking which was yesterday, because i didn’tw ant more of the gems/studs to fall off! they’re irreplaceable and extremely delicate against my frizzy hair…T_T] i’ll post the outfit i DID wear for the first day of school and picture day later!]

psst. i parted my hair to the other side than usual. tee hee.

while i was awkwardly grasping the roses, i got a thorn stuck in the middle of my thumb and index finger. it hurt so badly, and it was pressed in pretty far which was the scary part! i had to pull it out myself :(

BTSSB Giant Pink Gingham Headbow - $40 $32 + $6 shipping OBO
had a previous owner who wore it once for a photoshoot, i think.
i have never worn it, i kind of  bought it out of pressure, unsure of if it would match my dress or not (the rose gingham OP in pink).
it matches perfectly, but as you can tell i don’t look too great in headbows because my bangs are strange and i don’t have any wigs to help with the styling XD
so here it goes to a new home!
i would say the only defect is at the BTSSB tag–there’s a string of thread coming out of the bottom right, but it can be trimmed, and doesn’t affect any part of the headbow.
