the contest is  to come up with a polyvore-esque set that includes a vintage song and a pair of their vintage shoes.

it is inspired by the 80′s hit ‘i get weak’ by belinda carlisle.

i wanted it to be a flirtly look with a hint of darkness.
for the vintage shoes, i chose number 183; woven toe nude pump, because i really liked the matte color with the accented toes. to add more color to the look, since they are nude shoes, i threw in some slouchy gray socks.

warning: entering 16 year old crybaby teenager mode. super depressing rant post. leave if you couldn’t care less.

in my town, everyone pretends that we’re all really close and need to trust each other and tell each other everything and all that stuff, because there used to be a lot of suicides. adults and teachers thought it was from stress. why? because whenever we all came together as a school, the students were too afraid or ashamed to admit why they thought people really were doing it. they would just say because of the stress.

what do i have to do to get someone to care about me? make an attempt to do something life threatening?

even my own parents can’t deal with me. if you follow my twitter, you might have noticed that once a week i post about how much my parents make fun of me to a point that it’s not funny anymore. my parents honestly do not believe i can make it to college. i’m only a sophomore in high school and they’re making me see a college counselor just because my senior brother had to.

today, my mom walked into my room, gave me a postcard for no, not a community college, but a community college prep high school. she meant it in a funny way and said ‘ haha you should transfer because you are failing at your school now’ and i just got really mad and started crying. what kind of fucking parent says that to their own kid?? my mom cares about me but this was just fucking retarded. oh. my mom calls me retarded privately and publicly on a daily basis. it’s so bad that i started saying it at school even tho i know it’s really bad to say.

one time for model UN i was upset because i worked really hard to win gavel (the best kind of award) and i ended up getting the worst award, which was also the first award i’ve ever won as a single delegate (working by myself). i told my mom about how upset i was at the time and she told me it’s not about winning and i did fine. but then why is it that when i’m in the car with my 2 brothers having a great time last week, my mom openly tells all of them i’m a failure at MUN and i should quit because i’m wasting my time and i don’t win awards to prove i’m good? why does she say that? she expects me to have a good self esteem, after saying something like that NOT JUST TO ME but in front of my older brother that is the prodigy in my family and my younger brother who is already 3 levels ahead of me in math and hes only in 8th grade? KNOWING it would hurt me a lot? wtf

my biggest issue of high school right now is my awkward stage of ‘i dont know who my friends are’. i used to think it was just me, but i realized all of my own friends have the same problem of not really getting along with the people you hang out with. i think that’s why i’m friends with the people i’m friends with–because we all are so awkward in our old groups that we kind of broke off from that and made our own group.

don’t get me wrong. i’m the type of person that everyone knows and likes, for the most part. but then why is it i never can find someone to talk to at lunch? i’m always strangely walking around campus or in the library, or even just listening to my ipod somewhere in the corner of the campus by myself.

90% of the reason i don’t feel like i can make friends is because i constantly believe people are using me.

my counselor at school recommended for me to write when i’m confused or angry, and so today after i finally cracked after a long time i wrote something and i was/am glad to have gotten it out, finally, publicly:

do people not realize that i know most of you only pretend to be friends with me so they can get their photos taken? forcing me to spend countless hours editing photo after photo of everyone so they get endless likes and feel pretty, in hopes that maybe i’ll be appreciated a little bit more, lugging around a $1000 camera my dad gave to me that is now damaged and partially ruined? for every 200 photos in an album i post, i might just get one compliment about the photography itself. do you even know what that feels like?
it’s just not worth it.
people like this make me hate what i try to be good at. because it’s the only thing i’m good at. and they are completely aware of how i feel.

and it’s all true.

sorry this is such a negative post. i promise i’ll get back to blogging about the things you follow me for–photography, clothes, inspiration. but for now i just need someone to care about my life. why do you even think i have a blog in the first place, lol? to be popular?

here is a HUGE haul of all the things i bought after christmas that arrived in january in time for my birthday, plus some really old things i forgot to blog c:

super old from octoberish, but here is a free people rayon dot dress i bought off ebay for around $40. i really like it, but the waistband always rides up when i wear it because my torso is short, so i have difficulty styling it…any advice?

this is a pleated lace dress i bought from topshop with a low V back.
i’ve mentioned on my formspring a trillion times that i’ve always wished for this 3.1 phillip lim silk flower and pleat-embellished dress, but it’s $900, so…

but then i saw this lookalike on topshop that i was stalking in case it came back in my size, and luckily it did AND it was on sale for $35 when it used to be $75!! so i jumped to it and i’m glad i did, because it sold out immediately after!

on the site’s stock picture it was more of an ivory but in person it’s tanner. i like it either way tho!

this is a house of the gods shirt i bought from urban-eclectric! i saw it on miranda cosgrove and, as you all know very well now, i love her style and when i saw her wearing this i was dying to have it! they are the only site that carries it, and it was on sale, so i bought it :)
house of the gods is one of my new favorite shirt brands, their shirts are such great quality!

next is a free people ‘we the free’ crocheted jersey shirt. it’s a cool orange color with crocheted sleeves, with little embellished(?) flower things. i really like it!! the black shirt underneath is also free people but i bought that over the summer XD the best part is, it was only $15 and it was originally $110 on the free people site! wooo.

i also bought this minnie mouse shirt from target as a sleep shirt. it’s slightly cropped but i bought it a few sizes larger so it fits loosely! whoopeeee!

my free gift from sephora for my birthday!! it’s a lip duo from the brand fresh. these are the best chapsticks i’ve ever used!! :)

and finally, one of the best purchases i’ve ever made: the lucky brand jeans canvas carry-all bag.
it is so perfect. and gorgeous. and sturdy and huge. i LOVE it. no words, people. no words.

so one of my friends and i have the same birthday, and we basically became friends last year because we found that out. so sometimes at lunch when we’re bored we go to the library to watch SNL skits or jimmy fallon snippets because we’re really popular. and so i recently showed her the thank you notes segment of jimmy fallon and she LOVED IT! (who doesn’t!) and so i bought her this book and kept telling her i had a surprise present for her, and then randomly she told me she had a surprise present for me that was coming in the mail.

so then the monday after my birthday, we exchange presents, and mine is wrapped around the book but her present to me is wrapped in like 5 boxes so that i wouldn’t know what it was, and…

WE GOT EACH OTHER THE SAME THANK YOU NOTES BOOK BY JIMMY FALLON!

TROOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLOL. it was LEGIT the weirdest and stupidest thing that has ever happened to me. many lols were had that morning.

anyway. so one of my friends followed a collar tips DIY by honestly WTF and made me these cool pins that attach to your collar!! they look really awesome with my flannels.

i’m depressed. my 16th birthday party is friday and it feels like it’s forever away.

i have finals this week and i have C’s in two classes, one of which will probably not get better by the end of the semester. and why the fuck do i have a B+ in japanese? bitch please sensei! T_T

anyway, i’m here to rant to you about my eBay and paypal horror story. i wrote one here a while back (click to see)

this one is about a girl who wanted a coach bucket bag. it’s tan. and wantable, i guess. she was desperate for it. i even gave her free shipping and lowered the price $40 for her. so i sell it to her, but i was super careful to take a shitful of photos AND give dimensions and pictures of the stain on the inside and emphasize its ugliness so people wouldn’t be inclined to make a return.

obviously and unfortunately, this was not the case. within a day after this bitch receives her purse, she comes crying to me about how it’s not as big as she wanted it to be and wants to return it. i calmly told her that it wasn’t my fault that she didn’t look at the dimensions properly, and that i wasn’t a store and i wasn’t going to accept returns on an item that clearly wasn’t damaged or mis-described. but she files a case.

and not just an ebay case.

a paypal case.

this is when shit goes down.

i sold the purse on 12/20/11, and she file the case 1/1/12. i called ebay on the first, the seventh, the fourteenth, and the seventeenth. the first two times they didn’t do shit and just told me someone would deal with it sooner or later.

but the fourteenth? that’s when the ultimate shit went the fuck DOWN.

so i was talking to some bullshit associate who clearly didn’t speak english as her first language and had a very small vocabulary, who told me she would ‘investigate’. blah blah she asked security questions and the like, but then this is where shit. went. down. she asked me for my birthdate. and i’m a fucktard, so i told her my real birthdate. ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. ERROR. BAD MOVE SARA. she says ‘no, i’m sorry that is not correct,’ and hangs up.

then i get an email saying that my birthdate has been confused or some shit, and that i need to verify personal information, but for now my account would be placed into limited mode. no big deal, i’ll just go to their case resolution bullshit and figure it out. one of the options was to show an ID to prove your identity.

i get my passport, scan it, and attach it in a file to paypal on my account statement.

i should have just changed the year i was born to 93 instead of 96, but i’m too fucking idiotic to do that. hell, they didn’t even ask for my birthday–just proof of my name and my address. but no. i’m a fucking lunatic piece of shit.

a few hours later, i get an email saying that paypal has verified that i am not 18, and they will be closing my account for 180 days, and that i will not be able to access my money, my bank account, or my fucking card.

since when the fuck are they allowed to pull this shit?

i freak out. hell, i’m still freaking out.

so on the seventeenth, aka today, i call and of course this friendly male voice picks up and helps me out…’helps.’ he just tells me there’s nothing i can do and it will be held for 180 days.

since i’m fucken awesome at math, i figured ‘oh, 3 months? whatever.’ but no. see, there are 30 days in a month, with the exception of 31 every other month and 29 in february (this year). he tells me,

“sorry, you will not be able to access your account until july 2012.”

WHAT THE FUCK!????????????????!??!?!!?!

BULLSHIT!

everything in my account, all $200 of it + the $100 being held for this bullshit woman who wanted this purse all along that caused this, is locked for 180 days. after 180 days i can remove it from my account, but my paypal will still be closed until i turn 18.

this wouldn’t be a huge fucking deal if i didn’t already owe my own mom $300 for selling her skirt, i think to myself.

so i create a new paypal. sneaky sneaky!

but NO. NO NO NO. i can only receive money if i start a new paypal–i can’t link it to a bank account, i can’t move it to a credit card or anything, because my only credit card and bank account is on my old paypal and i can’t move any of it because of the limit i have on it! FUCK!

so now i can only receive money. and i’m freaking the fuck out. and jackrabbit711 aka jacqueline williams, FUCKING FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING BITCH.

I CANNOT STRESS THAT THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT.

I HOPE YOU LOSE THE CASE AND THAT KARMA BITES YOU IN THE VA**** AND YOU FUCKING SUFFER.

[update january 19 2012; i ended up having to send her a refund (rather, paypal pulled money form my own account and she has to send it back. not sure what’s going to happen now, about my account at least.)

finally, my mom was out shopping in little boutique/knick knack/gift stores with me this past weekend and we stopped by a giftcard store that was selling adorable aprons.

one of my new year’s resolutions is to bake more; i’m ADDICTED to watching cake boss and next great baker, so i figured i should actually bake myself if i’m going to watch it on TV! so i saw this apron and i’m going to use it to inspire myself to bake. i’m on the lookout for a good red velvet cupcake mix that i can use for my first cupcakes…..let me know what you use, if you bake! :D

hello readers! i hope you all had a lovely holiday–mine was very quiet but nice :)

recently i found out about an awesome new brand called mad love, which is an australian based brand that has the cutest graphic shirts ever!! their designs are very unique, and i can definitely see this brand catching on soon :) they’re a lot similar to wildfox couture and lauren moshi, in my opinion, which is why i love them!

so the shirt that i bought is called the ‘mr hearts circle tank’. here are some stock pictures!

i fell in love with it immediately. it’s so adorable! i also saw it in girls life magazine’s december 2011 issue on miranda cosgrove:

i thought i was doomed to find it, because since mad love is a fairly new brand they don’t sell their own items in a webshop [yet] and all of their carriers didn’t have this shirt in stock :( i was so sad. but then i happened to search ‘mr hearts tank’ and came across a little google search that led to a store called meg & wally, based in australia. eureka!! i thought it was too good to be true, but it was perfect because the last size they had in stock was an XS (a size AU 8).

i ended up paying $84 AUD for my shirt after shipping. the shipping was a bit much but i think it was still worth it.

WAY TOO CUTE!!!!!! the actual bag they shipped it in was in that waterproof-plastic type material, and there was also a layer of transparent plastic as well. i opened the bag and it was like a christmas eve miracle!! the shirt was wrapped in brown paper with a  meg & wally sticker on it, followed by two ribbons wrapped around it, with another meg & wally logo card, and some candies and a tea packet. it’s SO CUTE!!

the shirt was kind of wrinkled when it arrived, but i blame the fact that it was in the packaging for two weeks, not because they didn’t do a good job folding it :)

HEY GUYS!

so i’ve been doing tons of holiday shopping at free people recently!

i went in with my mom last week and bought a ring and a sweet cashmere sweater during their holiday glam event, where they had cookies, makeup artists, and tons of items on sale! i got the red deco stone ring for $20 (from $30) and a the riding hood cashmere cardigan in gray for $90 from $170!

pros and cons of each:

the cardigan’s button fell off, so i contacted free people and asked for an extra button since i didn’t get one when i bought it. but for god’s sake, i’m not rough with things that i buy–why would the button fall off? so dumb.

the ring is so gorgeous, but leaves a weird greenish gray residue if you wear it for too long. otherwise, cute!

so anyway. the free people i was at had a party thing, and it said if you bought a holiday dress you could be entered to be in a contest to win a huge gift basket. when we were paying, my mom and i thought it was so cute!

AND THEN! i went to free people after school yesterday with my friend, since it was a minimum 1:05 release day (school usually ends at 3:32, weird times, i know) and so i walk into the store looking for a sweater i saw online, and a girl approaches me. she asks if i had gone to the store last week during the holiday glam party. i was confused at first, but i nodded yes. then she tells me that i won their contest and they had drawn my name but i had already left, and they were about to choose a new winner but decided to wait for me to retrieve it.

SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only thing is, i feel guilty because i didn’t actually buy a dress…i don’t think…o__O

oh well! free stuff! and i ended up buying the sweater that i wanted. tons of pics now! :D :D

i’m going to give the basket to my mom for christmas; she doesn’t know we actually won it so it’ll be surprising for her! <3

OKAY! now for the things i bought.

yesterday, after getting the goodie bag, i bought the marled yarn pullover in mocha–they told me a ton had just come in which was lucky because it’s sold out in every size online! eeeek!

it’s a really beuatiful brown-purple color. i was deciding between this or the roxy high low pullover in burgundy–it’s a similar sweater that is very soft, but the cut is a little higher.

i got an xtra small but i suppose i could have gone for a small if i wanted a drapey-er look. but i prefer fitted!

sorry for my mirror being so dirty! i’ll clean it, i swear.

this skirt is from loehmann’s, and it’s from BLANK NYC. it used to be $80 but i got it for $25! whee!

last but not least, the ring i bought! (i’ll post the cardigan later)
