so i have a ton to share with you, including how FUN band camp was, and i mean that! it wasn’t bad at all! but that’s another story for another blog post, right now i just wanted to let you know i’m selling some free people items on eBay! :)

i’ve never worn it before, just tried it on but it didn’t fit me well :(

these pants are amazing! i’ve never worn them before except for trying them on during a short [unpublished!] photoshoot, i decided that jeggings aren’t really my thing.

this color and fabric [corduroy] are really in right now, and will look awesome in the fall! :] the pockets are sewn together.

not-so-recent gets!

so i haven’t posted any of my recent purchases in a really long time, besides my past few posts, so here’s a mini haul XD

basically i had a bunch of money saved up for something i wanted to buy, but my auctions weren’t going well so i had to cancel it. then my auctions started going REALLY well, and i was saving up for something else i really wanted to buy, but unfortunately the seller backed out. i’m glad she did, because then that whole thing with the bally shoes came up and i lost $55 :(

but anyway! these are things i’ve bought. i happen to be in love with all of it.

so yesterday i stopped by a wonderful boutique that i visit often called therapy! i know, it’s a weird name, but it’s a lovely store. think of it as if modcloth was a real store–they even carry the same brands! i love going to therapy because the shopgirls are always so nice to me, and they know me so whenever i stop by they always personally greet me and ask if my mom’s around, and help me pick out stuff!

they also sometimes give me free stuff–really!! one time i bought a top, and then they let my mom and i pick two rings for free–worth $12 each! it was really nice of them. and yesterday, my little brother was throwing a fit when i was shopping because he was hungry, and i showed him this funny cow keychain that moos. when we went to go eat next door, he said he kind of wanted the keychain, so we went over and the girl i was talking to just let him have it! it wasn’t expensive or anything (it was $3.50) but it’s a kind gesture and makes me want to shop there more, you know? :]

so anyway, if you’re ever in the bay area of california, check out one of their locations–you won’t be disappointed! :)

ANYWAY! so last time i went to therapy, i wanted to buy an elephant top, but my mom didn’t like it, and now it’s sold out. so i settled on this one, and i love it! it’s from a brand called ‘collective concepts’.

i loooooove this picture! i don’t know what i did, but i love how it was taken, and the colors contrasting :)

i think it would look cute with a brown or even pink tank top under–i don’t have pink, so here’s brown for demonstration!

i bought this free people star burnout top for $5 on eBay a few weeks ago. short story–i had bid on a diff auction for the same shirt but was outbid literally at the last minute to $20, and i was kind of sad cuz i really liked this top. so i just searched it and saw it listed for .99 + $4 shipping and jumped on it! i love it–you really can never go wrong with thermals! :)

this next top i bought just a few days ago on eBay for $7 + free shipping! it’s from truly madly deeply (a brand carried largely at urban outfitters). i don’t know what i liked about it, but it’s simple and cute, plus i don’t have very many v-necks! (and miranda cosgrove wears it on icarly, hee hee!)
i haven’t worn it yet, because i want to wear a pink tank top under, and like i said earlier, i don’t own a pink tank top! so i have to be on the lookout for one! :P

this is one of my new favorite favorites. it’s the first thing i ever bought from topshop! it’s a floral high waisted skirt that has a cute 50′s feel to it–i like how it’s supposed to be worn at the hips, and not the waist! it’s more flattering for me :)
the material is kind of rough but i don’t mind. and it has POCKETS!! except in order to get the bow to tie the way i like, i have to wear the skirt backward, so the pockets end up not being that useful since they’re backwards too! lol.

these next two shirts are from the brand chaser LA, their shirts are so soft and cute! i don’t have many band t-shirts, so i’m glad i came across both of these. and for the record, yes of COURSE i listen to AC/DC and pink floyd! i honestly don’t like AC/DC as much as i thought i would, but i’m madly in love with pink floyd ‘the wall’ right now. it’s amazing!

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK

and like i said in my post about my black milk galaxy leggings, i got this shirt for $10 during some kind of 2 for $20 sale on lockerz.com, which is a site where you have to like earn points and stuff. i use it for hosting twitter pictures, but yeah!

this next shirt i’m so glad i bought–it’s a cute tiger cropped shirt from the brand whitley kros that i bought on eBay for $20 + free shipping!! the pink shirt below is separate, but i just put it there because it looks cool. normally i wear it without the pink, though.

this next striped sweater/long sleeve is from marc by marc jacobs that my mom bought for me from nordstroms rack. it was originally $210 or so, and i bought it for $65! i really like it, but i haven’t worn it much because i don’t know how to coordinate it because of the little…thinggy in the middle o__O help is appreciated! O:

psssst…it has shoulder pads! HAHHA! :D

this next sweater i’ve been stalking for a million years, it’s from NTICE on karmaloop and it features a keith haring drawing. i was kind of upset that this sweater wasn’t actually a sweatshirt material, it’s more like a stretchy long sleeve material, but it’s super easy to layer and soft!

and finally, here’s an AMAZING somewhat cropped velour cardigan i bought from black peace now during one of their sales. i’m so sad that they’re closing–like SO sad. the only person i know who is sadder than me is my mom; she genuinely liked wearing BPN clothing! and now it’s going to be so hard to buy stuff from them because they’re not very popular…:( we’re going to go mad during the sales though!

my TWO white cats are convinced that black clothing is softer than any other colored clothing…because they love sleeping on my dark colored clothing…

happy-sad ;; dilemma?!?!

HEY EVERYONE!

i have super exciting news! after nearly 4 years of searching, i’ve finally found the open roads/menswear free people dress in red that i’ve always wanted. it’s finally mine!

i’ve been so eagar to get it ever since i saw it in merry christmas drake & josh, worn by miranda cosgrove who plays megan.

however i’m rather upset. i am really annoyed at the pleating on this dress. it really doesn’t do justice towards my torso area, as i haven’t gotten…very many curves there? lmao idk, it just looks so sloppy and awkward!!

i purchased it in my normal free people dress size, which was very lucky since it’s extremely rare, but i also found it in one size larger but i thought it would be ‘too big’ which is why i went with the smaller size…and now i’m nervous that it’s either too small or just looks weird at my torso! everywhere else fits EXCEPT THE MIDSECTION! x_x

i’ve tried wearing a VERY light petticoat, since in the photos below it seems miranda cosgrove is wearing a red slip(?) and i think it just makes my hips look…wider. >_< honestly.

i’ve tried wearing my best spanx, which i wore under my graduation dress which helped me fit, and it kind of defines my shape but barely.

i know i’m not a model and they’re extremely skinny but i still feel like the fitting/pleating shouldn’t have been an issue :(

i don’t want to make any alterations or anything but i want to be able to make this dress work on me! :(

GIANT BIRTHDAY MONTH HAUL; PART TWO!

in case you didn’t see…PART ONE!

let’s get right to it, then!

hmmm where were we…RIGHT, so i just finished what i had bought from the mitsuwa market

OKAY so then i went to a small asian shopping center and saw this cute boutique that i pop into once in a while. it’s imported from korea, but not the cheapish store. the quality is always really good. most of these were presents from my mom for my late birthday (jan 20.)

this was a beautiful and EXPENSIVE headband that is handmade, so each jewel was put on one by one.

the funny korean owner gave my mom and i discounts because we shop there a lot and bought a lot of stuff, so instead of a whopping $35 it was $25. eeek, still. but it’s beautiful.

i also bought a new pink mohair coat! it’s ADORABLE! i can wear it with lolita and casually! i wore it to the BABY THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT store in san francisco and the shop girls loved it! :D

unfortunately…i think the collar is real rabbit fur. this disappoints me because i had two white rabbits. however, i’m not against fur (as long as the limbs aren’t attached and ew…) so it’s fine by me.

i think that’s why the price tag was $260. but the kind old lady brought it down to like $189 just for me. yay.

the color is most like the first picture. the rest of the pics are distorted T__T

PA nail polish (i’m selling this!) there’s nothing wrong with it, just i decided it needs a better home!

ANDDDD my mom was tired of always lookin for rilakkuma/san-x things with me so she just bought me whatever at the kinokuniya  gift store in SF :] it’s the one that is downstairs of sofie’s crepes :D

MY 15TH BIRTHDAY!

i had finals at school; math and history…i think i did fine though! school ended at noon :D

one of my really good friends bought me a ginormous balloon for me, and some others gave me cards. i love my friends! my parents remembered this year, as usually  they don’t and then i assume in the middle of the day someone mentions january 20 and my parents are like OH right sara’s birthday yeah forgot about that. :/

anyway! i could NOT decide where i wanted to take photos! outside, the lighting was so bad (i had to edit it really heavily) and inside the lighting was all yellow and yuck. but i think after the editing they came out well!

i bought the shirt at nordstrom rack with my mom. i wanted to buy some other lovely things, but my mom left me there for an hour to pick up my stupid brother who could have taken the bus and got ‘stuck in traffic’ and so when she came back an hour later i was scared and tired and had to do homework and apparently i was ‘yelling’ and asked her where she was. so she basically trolled me. :[ NOT TO MENTION it was in a city that is...known for...not being the best. eh. but i still love this shirt. it's pretty rocking.
