spring shopping is insane (i guess i should apologize for my hiatus)

so like the title, i guess i should apologize or make up an excuse for not blogging….

but being the 16 year old emotional girl that i am, i’m just going to say that things have been stressssssful! :/

and blogging  has not become one of my top priorities i guess.

really important: i was invited to prom, but unfortunately when i went, something happened to my camera and the lens is now broken and doesn’t auto-focus, so some a lot of my photos have come out blurry and crappy :/ i’m gonna get it fixed asap! i just figured i should let you all know!

but on top of all the shitty things, two great things have come up!

1) i am now my class’s president for junior year next year! wooo!

2) i got an iphone! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!

so yeah. anyway i have purchased a ton of cute things recently that i felt like sharing, since that’s what i do when i feel forced to make a post to remind you i haven’t died yet! haha. they’re all non-modelled by me, since i look like shit and am not really in the mood to take pictures of myself [that's a first; jk]

this dress is what i wore on my 16th birthday. i am mad in love with it and i think it is the most beautiful thing ever!!

it’s from anthropologie. i don’t know. i just love it C: i also used the photo of me wearing it [from my 16th birthday] as my campaign picture when i ran for president! :D

i bought this amazing striped frost colored splendid henley online back in…january or february? it’s super soft!! it’s kind of long on me but regardless i still like it a lot. typical splendid quality, which is good!)

this next item i’m in LOVE with– it’s the maje hostie peter pan collar sweater! i saw it for like $300 on their website and really wanted it, but it was $300, so clearly i didn’t buy it, but then i saw it on eBay and got into a serious bidding war but ended up winning at like $90 (with  free shipping, yippiee!) considering it’s cashmere with real leather arms/collar, i think it’s worth it.

a REALLY long time ago, maybe back in july or so, i purchased the allsaints muses jumper, after oogling over it for almost a year..i love it, it’s really great! allsaints is a wonderful brand. the photos don’t really do the sweater justice, it’s a really artistic and well put together piece!

i bought these red houndstooth free people capris a few weeks ago on ebay. i really wanted them back in 2007/2008 when they  were in the free people catalog but never bought htem, and when i saw them on ebay i just had to have it! they are great!

i’m convinced free people started making their pants smaller. i can fit into these just fine but if i try on pants in the same size but in the current season of free people, it’s too small! x: weird

i’m going to  disneyland at the end of may for a band trip and i’m super stoked!! i saw this minnie mouse shirt and it was so adorable and cute that i decided i had to have it, even if i’m not quite at disneyland yet…c;

i visited h&m and bought these two delightful items; i think the sweater is some kind of lookalike of something selena gomez wore once. idk! my friend just told me it looked the same. i REALLY like the shirt!! it was great to find.

if you can’t read the shirt, it says “i’d walk across the wildest desert and deepest ocean just to kiss you one last time”. so cute!

i bought this blue free people barbary linen dress a few days ago. it is SO  cute!

don’t ask why, but i had been looking for these exact argyle socks for a million trillion years. i kept finding the right color but with a yellow line instead of pink, but i finally found the pink ones! it’s allllll about bein patient, haha.

and i bought this dotti sweater a really long time ago also, maybe october or something? i really liked it because of its creamy color, but mostly because of the 3 adorable buttons on the shoulder! i had been looking for a sweater like this for a long time and finally found this one after seeing it on le blog de sushi’s blog! she is lovely :)

so that is my giant haul for now!

i will try to get in another post soon, perhaps after i get back from disneyland, or sooner

free people haul + i won the glam gift basket giveaway?!?!

HEY GUYS!

so i’ve been doing tons of holiday shopping at free people recently!

i went in with my mom last week and bought a ring and a sweet cashmere sweater during their holiday glam event, where they had cookies, makeup artists, and tons of items on sale! i got the red deco stone ring for $20 (from $30) and a the riding hood cashmere cardigan in gray for $90 from $170!

pros and cons of each:

the cardigan’s button fell off, so i contacted free people and asked for an extra button since i didn’t get one when i bought it. but for god’s sake, i’m not rough with things that i buy–why would the button fall off? so dumb.

the ring is so gorgeous, but leaves a weird greenish gray residue if you wear it for too long. otherwise, cute!

so anyway. the free people i was at had a party thing, and it said if you bought a holiday dress you could be entered to be in a contest to win a huge gift basket. when we were paying, my mom and i thought it was so cute!

AND THEN! i went to free people after school yesterday with my friend, since it was a minimum 1:05 release day (school usually ends at 3:32, weird times, i know) and so i walk into the store looking for a sweater i saw online, and a girl approaches me. she asks if i had gone to the store last week during the holiday glam party. i was confused at first, but i nodded yes. then she tells me that i won their contest and they had drawn my name but i had already left, and they were about to choose a new winner but decided to wait for me to retrieve it.

SO EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only thing is, i feel guilty because i didn’t actually buy a dress…i don’t think…o__O

oh well! free stuff! and i ended up buying the sweater that i wanted. tons of pics now! :D :D

i’m going to give the basket to my mom for christmas; she doesn’t know we actually won it so it’ll be surprising for her! <3

yesterday, after getting the goodie bag, i bought the marled yarn pullover in mocha–they told me a ton had just come in which was lucky because it’s sold out in every size online! eeeek!

it’s a really beuatiful brown-purple color. i was deciding between this or the roxy high low pullover in burgundy–it’s a similar sweater that is very soft, but the cut is a little higher.

i got an xtra small but i suppose i could have gone for a small if i wanted a drapey-er look. but i prefer fitted!

sorry for my mirror being so dirty! i’ll clean it, i swear.

this skirt is from loehmann’s, and it’s from BLANK NYC. it used to be $80 but i got it for $25! whee!

last but not least, the ring i bought! (i’ll post the cardigan later)

1. Pink and Brown sweet Velour Juicy Couture purse! like new, literally used once.
Bought for ~$300 at Nordstroms!
It comes with a little charm on the outside, and a built in heart shaped mirror, as well as two side pockets, all with a leather trim. [see add. photos]
Selling it for $100 OBO. shipping is $11.
I’m not selling it for such a deal because it’s flawed or anything, I just need the money and I KNOW it would make the perfect present for someone who deserves it :)

2. Traditional Coach all-over patterned ‘C’ double pocket with leather trim.
Bought at the Coach store about 5 years ago or so? for about ~$300 (my mom bought it so it was about that price.)
This gorgeous classic Coach purse features a beautiful silver front clasp that has a secret closure for easy access, a light leather trim, and an allover ‘C’ pattern that Coach is famous for. There is also a Coach ‘dog tag’ that comes with it on the side! The inside also has a leather square that has the Coach logo and a little description of the brand or something on the inside.
There are two slots on the inside as well.
Some of the leather appears worn on  the side, but it is not extremely noticable.

3. REPLICA Coach Bucket Purse allover ‘C’ patterned with light pleather handle
Beautiful bag! If  you can’t afford the real thing, this is a great and very close replica to Coach’s famous bucket bags!
Only used a few times, the handle has some small loose threads and the bottom has some signs of use.
Inside is a very clean polyester type material.
When I first saw it in my house I didn’t even realize it was a replica! It’s very well made for one :)

4. Plaid and Suede Banana Republic double flap purse
This purse is absolutely gorgeous! It features a secret clasp for easy access to open the bag, double pockets on the outside, and a beautiful plaid color all over, and two suede pockets on the outsides too. There is a charm on the outside that reads ‘BR’, and the inside has a metal piece that reads Banana Republic.
It comes with its original dust bag as well :)

5. Black Leather BEBE Boston quilt-styled bag 
This bag is absolutely gorgeous. Purchased around 4-5 years ago from the Bebe store for about $300!! 
It is real leather, and it is SO soft! It also comes with a cute ‘b’ charm with tassles. The zipper also has tassles for easy open and close access.
The bag has been used a lot, as it is the perfect size for anybody and beautiful too. The leather has some tiny flaws, see additional photos. Bottom shows some signs of use.
The inside has various ‘bebe’ written all over it, and the bebe logo on a tag. [see additional photos]

6. Beautiful Festive Kate Spade layered Quit Styled Purse
Bought it originally at Nordstroms last year for $500!!!
It is one of my favorite purses ever, with it’s beautiful blue red cream and pink colors allover, and red plastic accents.
It has a secret magnetic closure so it’s easy to open!
The red plastic buckle on the front has ‘Kate Spade’ printed onto it.
For some reason, the handle has one tiny little loose thread, as well as the inside below the logo. Very unnoticable though!
Lining is a GORGEOUS satin deep pink/red color with little circular leaves or something on it! :) The logo is printed inside in a gold font.
Comes with the original dustbag with a REALLY cute quote on it, and a pink drawstring!
Real leather.
KEEP IN MIND this purse has NEVER been used!

7. CLASSIC! Tan Leather Coach Bucked Bag
Bought it so long ago! SUCH a gem. Bought it for around ~$400-$500!
Fully leather.
Used a handful of time, The bottom shows signs of use and one gray dot, but it can probably be cleaned with leather cleaner.
Comes with a cute metal ‘dogtag’ on the outside, as Coach always does! The inside has the cute Coach leather square with some kind of description of the brand.
NOTE: THERE IS A VERY LARGE RED STAIN ON THE INSIDE OF THE PURSE FROM LIPSTICK. It can probably be handwashed, and it is only visible on the inside. PLEASE BE AWARE.
Because of said flaw, the purse is $100 + $11 shipping OBO. Although there is a stain, please keep in mind the purse is in beautiful shape and the flaw is only on the inside, plus it has already been heavily reduced, so I won’t be very keen on lowering it much more.

i bought a new sweater that i love! it’s from a brand called elizabeth & james, and it’s called ‘kennedy! and it has pom pom things on it :) it retails for $225 at neiman marcus/saks fifth avenue/revolve clothing but i got it for $….less :), hooray ♥

if there’s one thing i splurge on, it’s outerwear…if sweaters count as outerwear, lol! knits, coats, and shoes. those are the essential items to splurge on. in general it’s good to keep in mind quality over quantity, or at least i do! :P

i just love it, it’s perfect for this random weather that has circulated in california! :( :(

i mostly took these because i wanted a new profile picture, but they weren’t really anything special so i decided to just post them here :D i feel like my head looks really big in some of these. ASLKDJFSKLDFJ!

not-so-recent gets!

so i haven’t posted any of my recent purchases in a really long time, besides my past few posts, so here’s a mini haul XD

basically i had a bunch of money saved up for something i wanted to buy, but my auctions weren’t going well so i had to cancel it. then my auctions started going REALLY well, and i was saving up for something else i really wanted to buy, but unfortunately the seller backed out. i’m glad she did, because then that whole thing with the bally shoes came up and i lost $55 :(

but anyway! these are things i’ve bought. i happen to be in love with all of it.

so yesterday i stopped by a wonderful boutique that i visit often called therapy! i know, it’s a weird name, but it’s a lovely store. think of it as if modcloth was a real store–they even carry the same brands! i love going to therapy because the shopgirls are always so nice to me, and they know me so whenever i stop by they always personally greet me and ask if my mom’s around, and help me pick out stuff!

they also sometimes give me free stuff–really!! one time i bought a top, and then they let my mom and i pick two rings for free–worth $12 each! it was really nice of them. and yesterday, my little brother was throwing a fit when i was shopping because he was hungry, and i showed him this funny cow keychain that moos. when we went to go eat next door, he said he kind of wanted the keychain, so we went over and the girl i was talking to just let him have it! it wasn’t expensive or anything (it was $3.50) but it’s a kind gesture and makes me want to shop there more, you know? :]

so anyway, if you’re ever in the bay area of california, check out one of their locations–you won’t be disappointed! :)

ANYWAY! so last time i went to therapy, i wanted to buy an elephant top, but my mom didn’t like it, and now it’s sold out. so i settled on this one, and i love it! it’s from a brand called ‘collective concepts’.

i loooooove this picture! i don’t know what i did, but i love how it was taken, and the colors contrasting :)

i think it would look cute with a brown or even pink tank top under–i don’t have pink, so here’s brown for demonstration!

i bought this free people star burnout top for $5 on eBay a few weeks ago. short story–i had bid on a diff auction for the same shirt but was outbid literally at the last minute to $20, and i was kind of sad cuz i really liked this top. so i just searched it and saw it listed for .99 + $4 shipping and jumped on it! i love it–you really can never go wrong with thermals! :)

this next top i bought just a few days ago on eBay for $7 + free shipping! it’s from truly madly deeply (a brand carried largely at urban outfitters). i don’t know what i liked about it, but it’s simple and cute, plus i don’t have very many v-necks! (and miranda cosgrove wears it on icarly, hee hee!)
i haven’t worn it yet, because i want to wear a pink tank top under, and like i said earlier, i don’t own a pink tank top! so i have to be on the lookout for one! :P

this is one of my new favorite favorites. it’s the first thing i ever bought from topshop! it’s a floral high waisted skirt that has a cute 50′s feel to it–i like how it’s supposed to be worn at the hips, and not the waist! it’s more flattering for me :)
the material is kind of rough but i don’t mind. and it has POCKETS!! except in order to get the bow to tie the way i like, i have to wear the skirt backward, so the pockets end up not being that useful since they’re backwards too! lol.

these next two shirts are from the brand chaser LA, their shirts are so soft and cute! i don’t have many band t-shirts, so i’m glad i came across both of these. and for the record, yes of COURSE i listen to AC/DC and pink floyd! i honestly don’t like AC/DC as much as i thought i would, but i’m madly in love with pink floyd ‘the wall’ right now. it’s amazing!

and like i said in my post about my black milk galaxy leggings, i got this shirt for $10 during some kind of 2 for $20 sale on lockerz.com, which is a site where you have to like earn points and stuff. i use it for hosting twitter pictures, but yeah!

this next shirt i’m so glad i bought–it’s a cute tiger cropped shirt from the brand whitley kros that i bought on eBay for $20 + free shipping!! the pink shirt below is separate, but i just put it there because it looks cool. normally i wear it without the pink, though.

this next striped sweater/long sleeve is from marc by marc jacobs that my mom bought for me from nordstroms rack. it was originally $210 or so, and i bought it for $65! i really like it, but i haven’t worn it much because i don’t know how to coordinate it because of the little…thinggy in the middle o__O help is appreciated! O:

psssst…it has shoulder pads! HAHHA! :D

this next sweater i’ve been stalking for a million years, it’s from NTICE on karmaloop and it features a keith haring drawing. i was kind of upset that this sweater wasn’t actually a sweatshirt material, it’s more like a stretchy long sleeve material, but it’s super easy to layer and soft!

and finally, here’s an AMAZING somewhat cropped velour cardigan i bought from black peace now during one of their sales. i’m so sad that they’re closing–like SO sad. the only person i know who is sadder than me is my mom; she genuinely liked wearing BPN clothing! and now it’s going to be so hard to buy stuff from them because they’re not very popular…:( we’re going to go mad during the sales though!

my TWO white cats are convinced that black clothing is softer than any other colored clothing…because they love sleeping on my dark colored clothing…

pixie knitwear geometric sweater!

here’s a sweater i ordered a month ago or so that i never got around to posting!

i didn’t really feel like posting them but i had such a shitty day that it seems like there’s nothing better to do…:(

this is a sweater i specially ordered from pixieknitwear.com; they are the SWEETEST company EVER!

i basically found the sweater in only M/L on modcloth.com, and after contacting them wondering if they had any more smalls, they directed me to pixie knitwear directly.

at first, i contemplated ordering the M/L, but i saw a photoshoot of the jumper on the modcloth blog and felt like asking the girl in the photos for a more honest answer, since i knew that modcloth would obviously just tell me to order the jumper from them. i emailed vicki, blogger for themagpiegirl.com, and she told me she had a S/M and it was already pretty large. therefore, M/L was out of the question.

so i emailed the company pixie knitwear and asked them if they had anymore, since their site said they were sold out. lo-and-behold, vicky responded back to me (not the same vicky! this one works at pixie knitwear XD), and told me she had one more for me!! they immediately put it on the site, but i couldn’t afford it and the next day they took it down. i thought someone had bought it and was terrified, but turns out they took it down so no one else would snatch it up! :) so they put it back up for me and i was able to purchase it.

i LOVE how they call it a jumper!

anyway, it arrived really quickly in about a week. that’s fast to me, seeing as they’re from the UK! and after shipping it was around $45, and it was like $30 or so. i kinda forget, i ordered it a few weeks ago!
